Mesh It - "Family" layout and page plopper - Freebie

I originally put together the elements of the Mesh It kit so I could do a layout featuring a photo of my precious little kitty cat Pepper. However, once I saw this photo of the girls I knew that I had to revamp the kit and use it for this layout.

It reminds me of lazy sun shiny days and tropical fruit juice. Enjoy

Don’t you just love this cute photo of Abigail? She is sooooo adorable.

I’ve never put together a blue/green layout before and wouldn’t normally think of using the two colors together, particularly on a baby girl layout. However I have to now admit that I’ve changed my mind and can honestly say that this is definitely one of my favourite color combinations.

Be Mine - "Love" layout and page plopper - Freebie

My beautiful friend Sonia recently had a scrapbooking party and while the rest of the girls put together some paper layouts I got creative digitally. After going through a heap of photos from different occasions this one of Sonia’s wedding caught my eye and it’s the inspiration for my new “Be Mine” kit.

This layout from the “Be Mine” kit draws on the chrome of the motorcycle in the photo.

After receiving so many wonderful comments on my last two freebie offerings I thought that you all might like this one as a page plopper too.

These are two layouts that I have put together using the Hippie Chick kit.

As you can see I've used the same photo (big cheers out to Amie) on both layouts. Using different elements from the kit really alters the end result. I just can't decide which one I prefer.

I would love to get feedback on which one you guys prefer.

I'll pop up some more of the elements from this kit on my blog today.

Things I've learnt: about setting up my blog

So far I've learnt how to:

• add the cbox instant messenger widget to my blog (yay)
• load images that are links to the downloads on my file storage host
• get my freebies add to the DigiFree Search Engine (yay again)

It took a couple of hours to figure all this out so I haven't had time to work on the next part of the Hippie Chick kit (a girl's gotta sleep sometime).

I'm hoping to put up the papers and overlays on the weekend.

What have I gotten myself into!

Welcome, welcome, welcome! I’ve just started to learn about the wonderful world of digi scrapping. Currently I’m doing heaps of tutorials trying to work out the ins and outs of Photoshop (love it). I’ve posted a few layouts that contain my digi creations on Digital Scrapbook Place (DSP). At the moment I’m waiting on the March DSP classes so I can get into some more advanced techniques.

Anyway I’ve shared a few of the elements that I’ve made with some friends who seemed to really love them. Sooooo I thought that I might create a blog and share my creations with a greater audience and make downloading the papers and elements easier. Having said that, this whole blog thing is super scary mainly because I’m not sure if my friends are just being kind about my creations and everyone else will hate them.

I’m going to give it a go anyway. In the future, I plan on sharing my creations (elements, papers etc) along with (hopefully) some informative posts about the things I’ve learnt along the way.

So I ask you to please be patient with me as I learn about blogging, Photoshop and digi scrapping in general.
